Interview Documents Translation?

Hello all,

 

I got a notification that in my upcoming interview in FRN, Germany have to bring a certified translation along with my birth certificate.

 

What is your experience, would a certified translation would be enough, or should I provide also an apostile?

Certified translation is all immigration asks for including those sent to USCIS or taken to embassy interview

 

(3) Translations. Any document containing foreign language submitted to USCIS shall be accompanied by a full English language translation which the translator has certified as complete and accurate, and by the translator’s certification that he or she is competent to translate from the foreign language into English.

As so often is the case: read the instructions and stick to them. Don't do less, but also don't overdo it.

An apostille is not required, and since it is usually issued in the language of the country (German in your case), it would also needed to be translated. So you can easily see how it would only overcomplicate things.
