Interview estimation at Guangzhou

Hi fellows

We just got our cases DQed at NVC this weekend. 

I'm wondering as of August 2021, how long does it take to schedule an interview at Guangzhou from DQ?

And how long does it take to receive the visa/passport after the interview?

Not sure one the first question. My stepdaughter's interview was held 4-5 weeks after DQ, but that was back in 2019 pre-COVID.

 

Second question - it varies. Could be a few days, could be a few months (or more in rare cases) depending on Administrative Processing timeline.

One thing I can tell you is that we were DQ'd on August 19 and still haven't heard anything from the consulate. Don't expect it to happen quickly. I will be sure to let you know once we get our interview letter.

Thanks for the update. Wait times seem a bit longer than when we went through this in 2019, but not too terrible given how much COVID disrupted things.
