Hello all!

For my joint sponsor what should I list for 2020 income and for current income? I have the 1040 for 2020 and I dont know where I can find the total income line and as for current income do I use the letter of employment that states her current annual income or just use the W2 from 2020 for that line?

Thank you so much for your time!

2020 .. its the line for AGI

Current income- Recent payslips .. 3-6 of them. Usual current  pay amount  summed up for the next 12 months. Eg weekly current pay x52, two weekly pay x 26, monthly pay x 12

These details are outlined in the instructions pdf for the I864 available on the USCIS webpage for the I864

On the RFE form its asking for the total income line unless the AGI is the total income line?

sorry for the spam and this might be a stupid question but for calculating current income I have the choice of net pay and gross pay. Do I calculate the net or gross to figure out current income?

Follow the instructions for the I-864: For purposes of this affidavit, the line for Total Income on IRS Forms 1040 and 1040A will be considered when determining income. For persons filing IRS Form 1040 EZ, the line for adjusted gross income will be considered.

Current income means gross pay, so submit a few months of pay stubs and a letter from your current employer.  Current annual income is gross pay per pay period X number of periods per year (e.g., monthly gross pay of $3,000 X 12 months = $36,000 per year, if it's $1,000 per week X 52 = $52,000 per year, etc.)

Where can I find the instructions stating that for 2021? And thank you!
