Hi!!

hope everyone is well!

Quite new here, and need helpnplease. so I have been waiting for my F24 immigrant visa interview for about 2 years now, I finally received an email last week that I am scheduled for an interview on 20/09/21 and was told on the email that I need to book a medical examination before the interview I called the number on the UK embassy website and the earliest I could book medical examination is on 16/09/21. I asked the operator if that would be ok because my interview is 4 days later with a weekend in between she said that would still be ok. But now I’m worried that I would not get interviewed or refused the visa. Did anyone have the same experience??

PS. I’m reluctant to re-schedule my interview as I heard that there are not a lot of available slots.

Happens if they do not have the medical report they will still interview you. Can not issue visa without medical

The suggested delay is for the clinic to get the blood test results back from the lab.  Sometimes that only takes 3 days.  Then the full medical report goes to the embassy digitally. Even if your medical report is not there on your interview date, they will still interview you. They will “pause” your visa until the report is received, then issue it with no further action on your part.. Happens all the time.

Hi! I'm waiting for an interview in the same category... What's your priority date and when did you get documentarily qualified, if you don't mind me asking? Thanks!

Thank you so much for your reply that made me less anxious now ☺️

Hi,

My mom applied for my petition in 2008 and it only became current in Sept 2018. We are originally from the Philippines so it takes a really long time. NVC accepted all my documents June 2019 and I was deemed documentarily complete at Feb 2020. I was originally going to have my interview in the Philippines but I asked for it to be moved here in London last Aug 2021 and then last week I received an email that I have an interview in Sept. Only took 12 years to get to here. 😁

Just to add to Wuozopo's reply with my experience. My medical was only 4 working days prior to the interview for CR1. They still interviewed me and told me they would be happy to approve me there and then but had to wait on my medical results.

That was on Monday and my medical results arrived on Tuesday. Still waiting on an update, but will hopefully hear something in the next week.
