Unbelievable they keep moving the end date! When we started the estimate was 6-8.5 months. Now 14 months. We are very close now but I’m still so frustrated with the process. No public company or business would survive with this level of service.

I don’t think so personally. They even didn’t finish this year. What about 2023 fillers ? Only god knows when this tortured will finish

Processing time increase is inevitable unless they process a lot more cases than now (e.g. 200+ cases a day).

Sure they made their promise to reduce backlog back in March but for past 6 months the backlog only increased. Sure there can be a turning point in the future (e.g. new tech) but I wouldn't plan things based on hopes.

From current standpoint, newly applying for K1 doesn't seem to make much sense for most people. CR1 is the better option unless you have special circumstances.

Yes.

The current emphasis appears to be investment visas (personal opinion). Tons of I-526 (investor) applications since March if not sooner. Someone must have taken notice of inflation.

After we finally get the NoA2, how long until the interview? I know it varies but if we were to schedule as soon as there is availability what kind of timeline would you plan for?

I think the case has to reach the NVC first, before scheduling the interview.

 

Currently it's taking about 2 months for the case to reach NVC.

 

Maybe I'm wrong, can someone confirm?
