Wow that is great news and gives me hope! Congrats to you both!

Did either of you contact USCIS for being outside of normal processing times or did you just wait it out?

I don't know if it is a coincidence but I submitted an inquiry on the 11th of January actually a day before they said I was able to. I also reached out to my congressman by email and phone on the 12th, and to the Obudsman 14th. Approval was on the 18th.

I contacted my senator 1 month before and did a outside processing times request as soon as it was open for me. I got the same response back from senators office as from the processing time request.so I assume it was the request.

Perfect. My senators office is due to check on our case January 30th which is only 11 short days away 🤞

Hello all,

Pretty late on this update but thought I'd note that I received my NOA2 on October 19, 2022. Things went silent after that so on January 7 I submitted an inquiry on the NVC site and got a response on January 10 with my case number and was told I would be notified when my case was forwarded to the embassy.

Has anyone received their notice from the embassy after getting their case number?

Yes.  Two separate intent to marry letters that were signed.  My RFE acknowledged they received signed intent to marry letters.

However, they state that wasn't enough and asked for proof with plans, engagement ring, and etc. that I mentioned.

I know the VJ forum is still stuck in the pre-2020 ideas all is needed is the two VJ intent to marry template letters signed.

I noticed there has been more posts talking about the intent to marry requiring more proof:

Chinese WeChat has been discussing this also.  A lot of people now have to submit engagement ring photos, description of plans, WeChat logs, and etc.

Not sure.  Perhaps it depends on the country where the fiancé is at?

Along with the intent to marry letters I also submitted photos of us going back to the beginning of our relationship, emails, whatsapp chat logs, itineraries of my flights to her country plus the stamps showing entry on my passport, and a receipt of the engagement ring.

My noa2 on October 29, 2022. I sent a public inquiry 3 days ago. And they just gave the case number. I don’t know if this information helps you. It took 81 days for me. But it depends on embassy. If they are busy. They request cases later.

For my July / August / Septermber 2021 Filer friends,

As you know from my other posts, I have been watching the activity on burndown towards December (my date range)
AND am very sad to see there are still considerable untouched cases still opening in July/Aug/Sept 2021.
From my count there are still:

July: 90 Untouched Cases down from 95 a week ago

August: 221 Untouched Cases down from 259 a week ago
September: 497 Untouched Cases down from 554 a week ago

Any of you remaining that do not see your case resolved I encourage to watch for the earliest date you can submit for outside normal processing time.

Best of luck and hope your cases get resolved soon

We appreciate all the scans and updates you have provided for us, thank you so much!

As of the last scan there are 200 untouched August cases. We have all reached 'outside of normal processing time' and submitted inquiries.

At this stage its safe to say we are all on own from here.

I wish you the best of luck with the remainder of your visa journey!

Thank you for the scans I really appreciated it.  Btw can you list out what to do after getting the uscis approval. Would be helpful as well.

Yes sure. But I’m just waiting my case turn to be “in transit”. I didn’t do anything yet.

first I will fill ds160 form. And collect some official papers such as police record etc etc.

I don’t know anything beside those things.
