One thing I’ve been wondering this entire time is why don’t they just approve/deny/RFE applications in the order they were received? Like the other day I saw there were some people with NOA1s in September 2021 that were approved while people with NOA1s in early August are still waiting. I’ve come to the conclusion that they do this to bring their average down (which is currently sitting at 15 months), but does anyone really have an answer for this?

Because I-129Fs are paper applications. Keeping 50,000 papers in exact order with 100+ people shuffling through them everyday is impossible. USCIS has never gone in order and likely won't. I don't think they do it to be nefarious, it just happens!

Well when you put it that way, it seems very reasonable. Thanks for the insight!

Yeah! I genuinely don't think they're doing it to be devious. My partner's wife (my work partner that is!) is an immigration lawyer. Thats her best take on it and it makes sense to me too! You ever work in a big office? We can't get people to stop microwaving f$&*!ing fish, much less keep the papers neatly stacked. 🤣

Oh, it totally makes sense! Speaking of microwaving fish in the office, one of my colleagues just did that the other day and we honestly thought of sacrificing him to the Sun god. Jk, but we did give him a hard time for the rest of the day.

Sorry for delaying guys , I was super busy.

It seems they have some technical issues. Only Rfes , no approval at all!

Was this really how many cases they touched for both days? Only RFE's? USCIS is never going to finish going at this pace.

Exactly.

I understand if they do it by groups of 50 or 100, where they take a stack and conplete it.

But it seems they take cases from various K1 stacks 😦.

I Guess they should hire Paper organizers 😂.

I'm a September 3rd filer, and I see people from September 7th getting their NOA 2.

There was literally 3 cases in front of mines that got an approval.

How is it possible they didn't see mines?

🤭 I don't know man.

At this point I feel bad for everyone in August 1st without a Noa 2.

I feel bad for July there are still some cases barely getting approved. Also being august that is what I am afraid of. September almost finished and October starts and I barely get mine... that would be terrible.

Hi everyone!

For those that are approved already, what is the next step? I keep reading "Wait 2 weeks and call nvc for the case number". We tried calling NVC for the case number but they aren't answering. We tried emailing them too and got back a form email that answered nothing and that you can't reply to. We need the case number to schedule the medical and interview.

Do we need to just wait until they send out the paper copy - DO they send one out? Ours is about a month since approval now.

I send best wishes and sympathy to everyone still waiting for the approval. I'm sorry they haven't approved you yet and hope they will as soon as possible.

From my understanding, it can take up to 60 days (if not longer) to ship your approved I-129F form to the NVC. Once they receive it, you will get a case #, which will let you track your case through www.ceac.state.gov.

Additionally, I believe you may have mixed up the steps in the process. You will only be able to schedule your medical examination and interview once the NVC approves and sends your case to the consulate in the beneficiary’s home country. When the consulate receives your approved I-129F, they will send you instructions on scheduling an interview, the medical examination, and what documents you will need to put together for the interview.

I hope this was helpful!

Just to add to this, I've seen many people say they never received instructions. I guess it depends on the country 🤷

Just keep on eye on it I guess.

60 days...sigh. :( Thank you! Is that when NVC estimates that they ship the case and if so will they mail a physical letter with the case number?

In the Dominican Republic the consulate doesn't send out instructions, but interviews can be scheduled on the website with the NVC number. We already started it and just need that to get to the last page.... but I wish they would send the number!!
