Congrats !!!!!! The nightmare is over. and you got lucky. Nvc phase is faster than before !!! Happy for you!!

Thank you so much!!!

It's really hard to gauge how long we will have to wait for the interview, my guess is anywhere from 3-6 months from now.

Hope what you say about NVC is true! 🤞

Hope what you say about NVC is true! 🤞

You will wait less than 3 months. Because Uscis usually ships cases to nvc in 30 days. Nvc will progress cases less than 17 days. You can check time frames for NVC. Here is the link

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html

My best guess , you will wait 2 more months and then your case will be at embassy.

Hello all! I hope everyone is getting closer to being with their significant others.

I just received instructions from the Embassy in Belgrade yesterday. Does anyone know if the DS-160 can be filled out by the petitioner on behalf of the beneficiary?

Thank you!

You can always fill it out together remotely.  Windows comes with a remote assistant app. Just click on the start button and type "Quick Assist"  without the quotations to launch the program.

I understand that is an option. My question is, are there any rules against me filling out form DS-160 and submitting it from the USA? Would it be grounds for denial?

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

My question to you is:  Why choose a K-1?

Thank you. When I filed my I-129F back in 08/2021, the K-1 visa was much quicker then. Had I known it would’ve dragged out this long, I would have went CR-1.

Thanks.  I saw that after I asked the question.  I hereby withdraw.  Thanks.
