Hi everyone. My husband and I have been working on the I-130 and I-130a with our lawyer. What was originally supposed to be a one month stay with my husband, turned into four months and we are really excited to start this process now. I asked my lawyer if I should send a letter along with the petition, to explain our story, and give a brief overview of some of the evidence we submitted. He said that it isn't necessary, but it would be a nice addition if I would like to do so. We married via Zoom on the first visit, which I know isn't great, but it also isn't the end of the world, and I was wondering if maybe I should explain why we made that decision (covid and legal restrictions in his country). If anyone has any advice on the best way to structure this kind of letter, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Concentrate on quality, not quantity. The best evidence you can provide is that of time actually spent together.  Good luck.  It would be great if you filled in your timeline.....Thanks.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
