Second paragraph - Biden could have just followed Trump's plan and we COULD have been out of Afghanistan by May.  instead, he wanted to do things his own way, and end the operation around 9/11 to make a historic statement.  Well, he has made one alright.  And he will be remembered forever for it.  I do agree that we shouldn't have gone there, and the contractors ARE big winners.  And the US taxpayers are the biggest losers.  We have left behind BILLIONS and BILLIONS of dollars of equipment, both military and civilian.  Road graders, dump trucks, earth movers, rollers, packers, pavers.... think in terms of hundreds of each of those, just left there, even back in 2011.  More today, I am sure.

 

Third paragraph - are you referring to Operation Eagle Claw?  One helicopter had a blade problem (probably what you meant when you said rotor), one got disoriented and turned back, and one crashed into a C-130 as they were returning home after aborting the mission.  Not exactly Carter's fault.

 

Trump has far more respect for the military than Biden ever had, hands down.  You only believe what you do because of the lies told by the MSM last year.  But the people who were on the ground with Trump told a different story, even the ones who didn't like him.  Not saying he is a model person, nor presidential.  But he did more for America in 4 years than anyone else has in the past 20.  Minus the mean tweets, of course.

And Biden has done the least for America than any other President in just 7 short months.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
