I'm filling out the initial I-129 form to get everything started, and i'm double checking that both me and my fiance need to fill out the G-325A and include it with the I-129 form. Is this correct?

Also on the G-325A form it says to include your Alien Registation Number..what is that? This is the first step we've taken for this process so i'm not sure if i was supposed to do something else first to get an Alien Registation number or something!!

We were married in Washington in August, we submitted our I-485, I130, I765, and I131 in Sept of 06 to the Chicago Lock Box, and got our Green card in January 07!!! Found this was much faster and easier than going through the K1 process.

Good thing you are starting the process now. You do have to fill out the G-325A forms(4 copies) for you and 4 copies for your fiance and sign it. and also more importantly, attach it to your I-129F form.with passport photographs and all the other stuff

The foreign fiance does not have an ALIEN NO right now , so you would put NONE

The U.S citizen petitioner on the other hand would put their SSN no.

Hope that clears it for you.

All the best.

Which service center are you going through?

Vermont is the fastest.

I'm not sure which service center to go through, and what is a service center!! I'm sorry thats probably a dumb question but I am flying by the seat of my pants at the moment. I dont have to go through a specific one for living in Washington state? And as for the 4 forms for each, do I fill his out for him or does he fill out and sign his own.

Since he is here visiting right now should we both go in and get our passport pictures now? What do i tell the people when i'm getting the pictures donw, that they are passport pictures and they will just give them to me or do i have to say they are for a visa?

OH one more thing, on the bottom it says this form is submitted for..do i say for status as a permenant resident? Naturalization? or Other? and do i Put the same thing on my 4 forms as his?!

Sorry for all the questions!

Hi Sweet Defiance.

Easy eh.Everything would be okay.Go to the GUIDES on the top of this page,Hit the K1 Visa link .

It tells you what forms you need to complete this process.

As regards the G-325A form. it is 1 copy duplicated 4 times. You would fill out 4 , date and sign it, your fiance would also fill out 4 copies, date and sign it. The service center would have to see the original signatures

Yes you both get your passport photographs taken.(1 for you and 1 for him)-Full frontal. You don't have to tell them it is for a visa.

Behind the photos, write your full names and SSN if you are the U.S Citizen, he also writes his full name behind the passport photographs . This must be completed with a pencil

On the bottom of the form, you check the box "OTHER" and put for the K1 Visa petition

Hope this helps.

This site is really great with information.Take your time to read through all the steps. It is easy if your relationship with your fiance is straightforward.

Since you live in Washington state, i will check your service centre for you and get back to you on that

No that's incorrect! Th USC doesn't have an A# (he may have had one if he was a permanent resident prior to becoming a citizen - in that case the A# is superceded by the US citizenship and is moot now.) So! You should actuall leave it blank. At the bottom you should put K1 Visa and check the 'other' box. Good Luck

For Washington state, you submit your petition to

USCIS Nebraska Service Center

The U.S citizen petitioner on the other hand would put their SSN no.

Hope that clears it for you.

I said the USC would put their SSN(if they have it). Of course the foreign fiance does not have a SSN no yet, they do not have an alien number too if they are not in the u.s

On the G-325A form for the foreign fiance, they put NONE if an A# Is asked( for the foreign fiance)

NO, the USC does NOT put their SSN anywhere on that document. Nowdays, writing your SSN on anything is risky and lends to Identity Theft. Unless someone has you sign a Privacy Act Notice, you are not required to give out your SSN.

As for the A#, that will be filled in the NEXT time the non-USC has to fill out another G-325A for AOS.

Be sure your SO signs their own G325A forms not you. Each applicant must sign their own forms (all 4 of them).
