Hi everyone,

Are B2's currently processing in the Dominican Republic? (And if not, where do I look to check on their status?) Can a person submit a B2 application even if they aren't processing to wait in line for when they are processing again? I understand it's an uphill battle in the DR but she has a job, property and can afford the fee, so why not? We are hoping our relative comes for our wedding (next year-ish sometime whenever K1 is hopefully approved!) for a few weeks.

Thanks!

Wait times here https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/wait-times.html
Santo Domingo is listed as 999 days which means emergency appointments only. You can check that every so often to see when it changes to a “real” date.

You can pay for an appointment and submit the form, but you’ll still need to watch the website to see when an actual appointment becomes available. Follow the links for non-immigrant visas for more info here https://www.ustraveldocs.com/do/
