Hello everyone

Someone have any information about appointments at the US embassy in Freetown ( sierra Leone)?

( they are conducting interview of which month)

For immigrant VISA

My case has been at NVC since January

We have sent all the documents and NVC has accepted them but we still haven't received an email from them to tell us that we are documentarily qualified.

And the appointment for my interview has still not been scheduled.

Do they have to email us first to confirm that we are documentary qualified before scheduling my interview?

This long wait becomes depressing I miss my husband 😢

Check on CEAC messages for the DQ message,  not sure if they email about that.

Yes, you need to be DQ before the NVC will send your case to the embassy.

Yes, NVC will inform you that you are DQ.  At that point, your case will enter the queue at NVC for your consulate.  When your case reaches the front of the queue, NVC will schedule the interview.  Are you sure all documents have been accepted and all fees paid?

NVC processes for CR1/IR1 and for K1 are significantly different, so your case timeline would not be a good indicator of the OP's potential wait time.  CR1/IR1 cases need to be DQ before they are put in the queue for interview scheduling.

please how long did it take you to get the interview date from the day your case was documentarily Qualified on Sierra Leone?

According to her timeline, their interview took place about 3 months after being DQ. She probably received the interview date some weeks before, maybe around Christmas or beginning of January.
