Um, probably because you weren't on here last year? I mean, that's the pretense, right? 🙄 Though I am very honored that you have read all my posts. 🤗

Not all, but some.  Enough.  And I've been around, off and on, for over 4 years.

And while your deflection isn't surprising, any chance you will answer the original question?

Noted! But my recollection of my own posts, while it might not be as good as that of an observer such as yourself who was reading my posts over the past couple of years, is that I said last summer that I condemned violence and property damage carried out during the protests. As you'll surely recall from my late May/early June 2020 posts, I live on a block that was affected by looting, a block that was abandoned by cops who had decided they were better placed at the actually peaceful protest near the pier. This was the case even though they had intelligence that gangs were plotting out in the open on Instagram and Twitter to use the protests as cover for looting. So yes, I condemned and continue to condemn property destruction, theft and violence, whoever is committing it.

That shouldn't be a surprise position from me, even to a casual observer. :)

(You do know the pigtail tweaking goes both ways, right? It's a beautiful day here, let's have a bit of peace today. ❤️)

No, I do not recall those instances, so if you DID indeed speak out against the violence, then good on you and forgive me for grouping you in with the resident liberals who typically do not.

From my point of view, what was called "mostly peaceful protests" last year were quite the opposite.  People were hurt, killed, businesses destroyed & burned, and the thugs who did it were caught and released, some multiple times.  Then we have what happened at the capitol in January, which WAS mostly peaceful, and yet people are still being hunted down and jailed, some in solitary confinement for over six months.  In my opinion, this is wrong.  The hypocrisy is very strong, and it is for purely political reasons.  I am embarrassed that we as a country are allowing these things to happen.

Not asking you to agree with me, I think you have stated that the January thing was an insurrection.  Just stating my opinion on the matter.

Also, I quit wearing pigtails more than 15-17 years ago.  They just don't flatter my face as I have  aged.

and the guy who killed ashley babbit........

Babbitt's family attorney, Terry Roberts, in an interview, named Lieutenant Michael Leroy Byrd as the cop who killed her
According to reports, Byrd has served on the House Capitol Police Board, dating back to at least 1998. Sergeant At Arms Timothy Blodgett allegedly mentioned his name on video previously during a Capitol hearing. Reportedly, officer Byrd has a controversial reputation with a record of mishandling firearms that includes an incident where he reportedly left a loaded pistol in a Congressional Visitor Center bathroom. The unattended gun was later discovered by another Capitol Police officer.

Let's throw the book at a cop who had a drug addict overdose in his custody then let another cop walk free who shot an unarmed person in cold blood. Makes a lot of sense. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the political affiliation of the person who was killed.
