So is there a chance I would not get either AP or EAD through before my green card even if it take 3 years? Are all these forms processed at the national benefits centre?

The I-131 and I-765 are processed at NBC.  The I-485 is processed at your local USCS office.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

You will most likely get your combo card before the GC. If you get your GC before, then consider yourself lucky.

So on the case processing times it says I-131 is taking 3-5 months and then "If you filed Form I-131 and Form I-765 concurrently, based on a pending Green Card application (Form I-485), you should only submit an inquiry if both cases (both your Form I-131 and Form I-765 applications) are taking longer than their normal processing times."

So should I just file the I-131 and then the I-765 separately to ensure the I-131 comes back quicker? Processing times for I-765 are much longer.

No.  Mailing any of them separately will not ensure faster processing.

Never delay filing anything with USCIS with the expectation that the other one is gonna take less time to be approved.

Ok thank you all. I will file it all as one and be patient :). One more question I have is I have an an appointment for a SSN this week just before my wedding. I doubt I will actually get the SSN before I can file the AOS but should I tick on the EAD for a SSN or hope that the SSN arrives in a few weeks.

You are going to the Social Security Admin office (before marriage), correct?  That is the recommended process since you are well within the 90 days after US entry.

I just wanted to reiterate that filing everything in one packet is your best option. We see so many posts here from people whose I-131 or I-765 were sent back because of "lack of payment" even though payment is not required. It seems to be very confusing for the Lockbox people when these forms are sent separately, so sending everything together will avoid any unnecessary delays at that initial phase.

It's impossible to know how fast they will process, and if they will be a combo or separately. It's still possible they will be combo even if you file them a month apart.

Back in 2016/2017 I filed the i-485 and i-131 together, and then the i-765 a month later. Mine were separate, ie I got the AP document first and then the EAD a while later. That said, there was only a ~15 day difference between the two approval dates.
