K1 visa can’t exit country

Hi all,

 

So I just want to explain the situation first. 

I was approved of a K1 visa and right now in my country (Malaysia), we have to apply via the immigration to exit. 
 

On my first attempt in doing so, I was rejected/denied. It’s creating stress and problems for me as my visa expires in mid December. It takes about 2 weeks for them to process an application and they’re vague when they reject you. Rumours going around that they’re not even reviewing exit applications properly and are rejecting/approving applications based on how they feel and it’s all about luck. It’s ridiculous. 
 

I feel so helpless because technically, immigration is not suppose to deny me on exiting the country with a K1 visa. 
 

I don’t know if anyone else has experienced something similar, or know any legal documents I can show and persuade immigration. 
 

Ps - these people are really difficult and can make it difficult for you.

Please clarify, are you talking about Malaysian exit immigration? So that I can move this to the correct regional forum where hopefully other Malaysian citizens/residents can advise you.
