Timeline

Hello,

 

I am a LPR , I currently filled for my spouse to join me, my PD is 8/17/21. I am a registered nurse, working with COVID patients. It draining and I really need some emotional support. I want to use that as a reason for expediate. can I call in to request for consideration, and if so how long should I wait  after filling. Thank you.

No downside to trying and pretty sure the PD is current.

There is no wait requirement

You can for expedite, there's no harm in trying. But note that since your case is still at USCIS, you'll need 3 separate expedite requests. One at USCIS (to speed approval), another at NVC (to speed document review) and another with Embassy (for early interview).
