Life changes and being amidst I 130..?

Started the i130 back in July. I've always wanted to carry my husband's last name since I was little. I didn't change it before filing because I wanted to file ASAP, and my work email used my maiden name, and there's no way they would change my whole email, and clients would forget, etc...

Then, on August 3rd it was announced that the company I've been with for 15 years is closing forever on August 13th. 😱

I got headhunted and got a better job, and have started the process of my name change so I'm not stuck with my maiden name forever. The new job is a solid one, and I'll be sticking with it for years to come. We are only NOA 1, and I know its not being processed yet, but with the significant increase to my income, I feel like they would want to know that....not to mention to show my reliability as I had no time between jobs. I do need to somehow let them know of my name change too before we get into background checks and such...?

My husband was unemployed at the time of the application,  but we got a surprise last week and his old job is opening back up and wants him back. (Hotel, closed since March 2020 because of covid. ) So he won't be "unemployed " anymore, and I feel like that is important too.

TLDR;

How to send USCIS updated info about name and job stuff without getting in my own way? I dont want to slow it down. I do have an online account,  and there's a button to upload additional info.... or should I mail stuff and include my receipt number on it all?

Thanks!

Just upload everything under “additional documents (evidence? Can’t remember)” online.
We had a child after NOA 1 while we were still waiting for the approval of our petition. We added the birth certificate online because it was another piece of evidence for a bona fide marriage. Wasn’t a problem at all and didn’t slow us down.

Your husband’s and your job situation won’t matter until you make it to the next stage, the NVC, and submit your affidavit of support after your petition will have been approved.

No need to update USCIS on any of this.  You'll both provide current information about residence and employment at the NVC stage.  In the US, it's legal to start using a married name from day one, if you so choose.  Dealing with the ID issues can come later.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
