So if i can afford the best or most expensive internet connection in metro manila, does it guarantee that i will be able to work and connect thru VPN to my office network in US? IF so how smooth will that be?

I'm doing heavy stuff like 3ds & graphics so typing 5 seconds at a time wont do me good.

I aint no idea what is the best and most expensive but i have to give it a try when i get there to make sure i can connect and work mostly at night if that helps

When my PLDT connection works,  it is actually faster than my USA connection.   For me, the only issue had been downtime.  When it goes down, sometimes it's 2 to 3 weeks before it is repaired.

YMMV

If you are going to be working remotely from the Philippines, you need to pay for two service providers.  This is the set-up I have had and every other person that I know who works from the Philippines and it appears you will be doing some heavy computing.

You should have PLDT, Globe, Sky, or one of the others around.  Do not just have one provider.  You will regret it as Payxibka mentions.  Downtime can be a common problem.  Also, youll want to run speed tests.  Rarely will you ever get the advertised speed so its best to get the fastest possible if thats what you need for the type of work you do.  Speeds generally are OK, but you may find certain times of the day where the speed lags behind.  This tends to be in the evening hours around 8-11pm.  Something to consider if you are working US hours.

I dont do heavy computing as you, at most Ill do Zoom and Teams calls and at times have had to hotspot to my mobile network to make things work.  I have never had the faster speed internet though as I havent needed it, but it appears you do.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

We had Converge when my husband worked remotely last year in the PH. It mostly worked fine, but he only needed to do video calls and use some accounting programs.

We had one day of downtime that I remember in the eight months he was there.

Even if the remote work went smoothly for the most part, there was one notable exception. Even with the Converge 150 mbps plan and on the company VPN, he often had trouble running ONE certain program, because the server was in the US, and no matter what he tried with his IT dept, they couldn't find a fix. He just had to live with the lag.

EDIT: I also had to work remotely for a large part of last year. I had much more trouble with telework than my husband because all of my work-critical programs were hosted in a server in Europe. It was awful. 10 seconds lag typing 2 sentence emails. After negative feedback from hundreds of PH-based users over MONTHS, our head office IT department finally found a way to reduce the lag to a more tolerable delay. However, it still wasn't the same.
