Address Changes

Hello,

My husband will be submitting form I-130 to sponsor me soon and we will be listing the address he currently lives at with his parents as where we will be living in the US.

I was wondering if,  at some point after he submits the application, he moves into a place of his own - are we able to update the application with the new address? Is it simple?

Or must the address be set in stone all the way through the application?

As an alternative, after the application is approved (hopefully), are we able to move once I am living there with him? Or do we have to wait a certain amount of time?

I'm sure this is probably a dumb question, but I would rather have everything sorted out before he submits the application.

If it's going to cause a problem, I'd rather him move beforehand and list the new address.

He is only with his parents to save money for as long as possible until we are able to be together in the US.

We certainly don't plan on living with them for long after I arrive.

Thanks for your help!

Changing the address where you intend to live is not an issue.  The question is asked again after the petition is approved, but can be changed even as late as the day you arrive.
