Expedite Combo Card (EAD+travel) - Denied

Hi, I'm currently adjusting status from an E2 visa. My filing date is 01/15 and I did the biometrics on 07/18. I still haven't received my combo card.I have a family emergency and need to fly to my home country asap. I’m devastated because my EAD + I-131 expedite request have been denied twice without a chance of providing any supporting documentation like my father's medical records. I need to expedite both EAD+travel docs since I’m currently employed ( if I only expedite my travel doc once I return to the US my EAD will not be valid).  Does anyone know if EAD can be expedited through an info-pass appointment? Does an emergency travel document invalidate the current EAD if you leave the country?
