I understand that there is a possibility that i'd be allowed a camera in the ceremony. If I'm going alone, what do you advise on the video recording? I really want to have this recorded.

IF not, at least still pictures.

I just don't know what to do since i'm going by myself.

Please advise.

Thank you all

Not sure of the rules in your particular location, but when my wife had hers, they would not allow phones, but for some reason they did allow iPads/tablets.  If you are alone, you only real choice is to see if there is another spectator available to record it for you.

Good Luck!

At my oath, someone took a selfie and was abruptly and loudly asked to “delete THAT picture” and to prove to the officer that it had been deleted. We were then warned to put our phones on silent and out of eye sight.

At my oath in March 2021 everyone had brought friends and family, and everyone was taking photos and filmed the whole thing. You need to bring a friend to film it, no one else's family members or friends will likely want to film you when they're there for someone else. If that's not possible then at least you should be able to ask someone at the ceremony If they could at least take a photo afterwards.
