Hi all,

I submitted all documents on 4th June 2021. On July 12th NVC asked me to resubmit the birth certificate, which I did on 12th July. So far, no news from NVC. How much longer do I have to wait for my birth certificate to be reviewed again?  Does anyone have the same situation?

Thank you for the reply in advance.

Based on the published NVC timeframes, you may have to wait for around 1 month more -- https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html

Current case review time: As of 9-AUG-2021, we are reviewing documents submitted to us on 11-JUN-2021.

Check the threads below for updates from others like you who submitted documents to NVC in June/July --

Well you got lucky to have your 4th June to be reviewed July 12th. Some people waited much longer.

With time schedule now, you have to give it 2-3 weeks to review July 12th.

just in case it's not clear, when you re-submit your documents, you go back to end of the queue and this becomes your new submission date, for you this is 12th July, they are currently working around 15th June submissions.

Thank you for the reply. Some people just got quickly reviewed around 2-3 weeks, it seems like we should be waiting patiently.

Hi Holly,

We submitted all documents to NVC on 21st June 2021. On 6th August 2021, they asked us to resubmit a death certificate (applicant's first marriage.) We did so the same day. Haven't received a response so far.

Thank you for the information. Maybe waiting time is according to NVC timeframes, but some people just got quickly reviewed, some people don't. Hope you get good news soon.

yep, anybody who submitted just before beginning of June would have benefitted from the low processing timeframes posted at that time, there was an issue with the NVC systems for submissions up to June 10th 2020, and this slowed things down, and as you can see from the image below the processing time has been growing ever since, we are hoping they stop growing and may even lower but right now we can only hope and be patient.

I've heard it usually takes 2 months, but that's not true for all cases, I guess.
