Yes, I understand that about the child's death and privacy for the family.  However, since this is unusual it would help to eventually know the details.  As you said, 2 years ago this was unheard of.  No quite right because some children have died and they usually had comorbidities.

You don't have proof any of these solutions should be a recommended therapy for covid except hcq and the FDA has removed approval for covid

And I DO have proof, as I have had more than a couple of friends take those drugs and eradicate covid posthaste.  Each person is individual in how they react to and treat covid.

 

As long as we are both still here next year, arguing over it, all is good, eh?

Social distancing will reduce the risk of transmission

Masks will reduce the risk of transmission

The vaccines will reduce the chance the virus gains a foothold in your system. 

 

Wearing a seatbelt, wearing a condom, eating burgers cooked to 160, all ways to mitigate risk, not eliminate.

 

For me, I choose my source of hamburger meat well and cook it to 130. I eat raw shellfish, from a good source and in the winter months.  My risk is informed, but it is higher than if I followed all of the science. I enjoy my life.

 

 

The difference is, with COVID-19 the transmission rate and fatality rate are too high to ignore. Eating a raw oyster is not going to endanger my parents.

They are not my numbers, they are numbers coming from country and regional health authorities and collated at a federal level.  I am not (unlike some in this form) putting myself out there as a medical specialist or statistician or epidemiologist.  I do know this to be a fact:  for what ever motivation, some parties have gotten their hooks into the information ecosystems and are choosing to deliberately promote conspiracy theories  and  disinformation .

As I said before, the bureaucracies we are paying for should not be lying to us, nor should they be playing politics with something like a pandemic.  When this does happen, credibility, and confidence is lost.  I point to the fact that the NIH along with their media and social media allies were pushing a single narrative regarding the source of the virus when there were other viable explanations out there that were dismissed out-of-hand.  I know, "what difference does that make" (said Hillary Clinton), it is called accountability, and if this pandemic was in fact created by government actions, there are those in the government that should be held accountable.  Instead, we get a lot of those folks that may in fact be involved in creating this issue trying to play politics simply to save their own skins. 

 

As to the numbers, we have seen a lot of massaging going on at all levels.  Add to that the simple fact that no one knows how many people have actually been infected.
