Question on checklist by USCIS for filing a joint petition … please help

Hello VJ Community,

We will send our form I-751 packet tomorrow.

We were going over the checklist provided by USCIS for joint petition of I-751 and to my surprise it says if you included two Form-258 Fingerprint Cards for each petitioner.  

Is this true ? Does my spouse and her daughter have to include a fingerprint card?

 

I found this a very strange requirement.

If yes, where do I find this form fd-258 ? I can’t find it on the USCIS web site for forms .

Are you outside the US because you or your spouse are on Government orders?    Your history indicates you are outside the US due to ill parents.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Then, the fingerprint card requirement doesn't apply to you.  It would have applied only if you were still outside the US because of military or government orders when you file.
