ASC Appointment Notice after Naturalization Oath Ceremony?

My little cousin got naturalization after his parents became U.S. citizens. During his application, there wasn't any biometrics scheduled. They only took the N-600 form and oath ceremony notice was sent and he got his citizenship. On his USCIS profile, it shows the case is closed but a month later he got a "ESB Notice" and inside that shows "ASC Appointment Notice". That looks like biometrics appointment. The question is why did this come after his oath ceremony was done. Was this notice sent as a mistake or does he have to go there to UCSIS field office?
