Joint sponser/household sponser

I added my dad as a joint sponser and filled out the I-864 but since he lives with me I think he needed to fill out household member. I’m going to send the rest of the documents for joint sponser.. do you think they’ll deny the papers since it’s not household member or should I add household member again and send the I-864A documents 

If I put him as joint sponser and household member will that effect the case or is it ok they will accept his i-864 as a joint sponser.

You did it correctly the first time.  If he qualifies on his own to be joint sponsor, that's what you do.  You only use a parent as a household member if you need to combine income to qualify.
