The Form I-134 is generally used to support nonimmigrant visa applications. The Form I-134 is generally required with all K-1 and K-3 nonimmigrant visa applications and must be submitted by the U.S. citizen fiancé(e) or spouse.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I do see that this was for a CR1 though. But I will fill out the I-134 form just to be sure. Are embassy’s ok with scanned copies? It maybe to late to mail something out.

Scanned copy is fine (color, if possible, imo).   They might not need it, but I would take it just in case.

Thanks for your reply, according to what we received they did not request the I-34 form.

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-134instr.pdf "Form I-134 may be used in any case in which the foreign national is inadmissible on public charge grounds, but in which he or she is not required to have Form I-864 filed on his or her behalf."

When i filed my K1 back in 2017 i had to fill out a I-134, things went wrong so we switched to CR-1 which asked for I-864

Hello, my fiancé has an interview coming up and I wanted to ask what financial documents he needs. I filled out the I864 just in case and gave him my 2 most recent tax transcripts. Is an affidavit of support needed for K1 interview at the US embassy in Ghana? Thanks in advance for your help! ☺️

I-134 is what u need for affidavit of support. Email the embassy for which other supporting documents to bring every embassy is different. I was only asked to bring last two years of tax return transcripts.

They are not requesting we bring form I-134. We have the tax transcripts so things should be fine. Just curious from anyone that’s had an interview recently the financial docs they asked for. Thanks

If yu don’t have pay stubs, then yu should provide like six months worth of bank statements of savings.

I’m self employed, so I plan to submit transcripts and bank statements.
