Hmmm....I received this email below from the NVC today. Not sure why I'm getting this now (instead of months ago) ? It has been much longer than 60 days-- my K-1 visa application has been at the NVC since end of March/beginning of April 2020.

I wonder if other people are getting these emails.

I just tried to call the NVC and the message I got was "customer service representatives are not available at this time." Called back 2 more times and got the same message, no option to hold. This was during normal operating hours.

Same here …. My fiancé and I received the same email too about 2 hours ago

Thanks, good to know. I wonder if this is specific to Ghana or are people from other countries with applications stuck at the NVC also receiving this email. Also wondering if it was only sent to K-1s.

I’m sure is being sent to all k1 applicants who have been stuck at NVC for more than 6 months, all over the world

Others also received similar emails and reported about it here, like the folks in the thread below --

Thanks, for letting me know. I did a quick scan before I posted and didn't see it. Should have looked a little harder.

Good to know that people applying to countries other than Ghana have also received this email.

Junk e-mail from NVC so people will stop bothering them when we demand they do their jobs.

Although I agree with you, it's the US Embassies that are the problem, the State Dept made the decision not to resume normal operations at our Embassies,  citing safety and health concerns for their staff, or is the pandemic just an excuse? If we can have our hair cut at a barber shop, visit the local mall or attend a football or baseball game, you would think that interviewers at our embassies could conduct a 5 minute interview, sitting on their rear ends in a sealed off room, behind a 1" thick glass barrier.

Interesting, I've been waiting a bit longer and this is my first notice. I won't bother trying to figure out why.
