Canadian spouse visiting the US?

Hi, I see similar questions discussed. However, I would love to hear from someone who is in similar boat as I am. My wife is Canadian citizen. Our CR1 application  has already been approved; waiting for interview currently. My question is: can she visit me in the US? Will Immigration let her through? She has been to the US previously many times in the last 2 years. In fact, we got married in Texas.

Appreciate the input. Thanks.

Yes, she can visit. No one can tell you definite if immigration will let her through. It doesn’t appear Canadians who have petitions pending are significantly scrutinized. Her travel history falls in her favor. Good luck.

Yes, she can visit, subject to CBP inspection.  As mentioned above, no one can predict how CBP will decide at the point of entry.  To mitigate the risk of being turned away, she should bring evidence of her strong ties to Canada.  Also, I highly recommend going through an airport with CBP pre-clearance.

Check this thread for reports from other VJ members who visited their spouses in the US during their CR1 process --

I think you mean that your petition has been approved and your case, documentarily qualified (DQ).  Visa applications cannot be approved prior to interview.

To hear from other Canadians with cases also DQ, check this thread --
