My daughters had interview on 28th July. They are aged 5 and 7. We had everything apart from original death certificate and divorce paper for my husband's previous marriages.  They requested and we submitted.  Am in Kenya for three months. Am just wondering if anyone has an idea how long it takes after submission before a verdict can be made? I might need to go back to the US, I just don't know how long it will take. Any idea?

Hi. I believe there's no definite time, it's upto the embassy to do the necessary verification of the documents. Just keep checking the status for any updates. 

 

In my case I had to present original divorce papers after my interview and it took 1 week. If everything is in place you don't need to worry.
