Medical too close to Interview?

My wife was meant to have her medical for her CR-1 in London about a week ago, but we were delayed because of a family emergency that caused us to postpone. The next available date was Thursday the 12th of August.

Her interview was scheduled for the 18th of August, which doesn’t leave 5 business days between the medical and the interview.

Does this mean we need to cancel and reschedule the interview? Or should she attend her current appointment.

According to FAM (the manual they should follow) they will proceed with the interview even if you are lacking items.  But anyways, from my experience it is enough time.  What they will do is give her vaccines that she is lacking and then give her a vaccine card and tell her to finish them once in USA (or come back there if you don't get the visa right away).

London will still interview you. They will even tell you approved pending receipt of the medical report and keep your passport. It doesn’t mean they will finish your visa the day Visa Medicals sends your report over. There may be a few days or a week before somebody gets back to your case to continue. It’s like you got paused and out of the work flow, but they will get back to you (but no specific number of days so don’t panic). It hasn’t taken long recently.

Wife just had her interview today and was told she was approved. We'd called to ask the doctor's if they could give us a status update a day ago but they said we just had to wait. They called my wife while she was at the embassy to say the results had been submitted the evening prior. Took 4 business days in our case. Got a bit lucky

I got the results from my medical after 3 days (Canada). However I have read that if the results are not in you can still have the interview if you show proof of getting the exam done. They just can give you a definitive answer until they receive the results.
