Hello all again. My British fiance wants to know if she needs to list her time while under the Jobseeker's allowance while she was looking for a job on the G-325A.

I just told her no, since it's not a job, but someone from the UK who knows if they listed this or not would be great.

I would list the time as unemployed. Don't worry, this isn't a job or credit application. It's just biographical.

my husband was in the same situation several times...i simply listed the times as unemployment

Being from Northern Ireland and having entered the workforce during the unstable economy of the Troubles, my husband had huge gaps in his employment.

When filing this form he simply listed the dates and places he was able to find work. He did not even address the gaps.

As pushbrk says, the information is purely biographical. No need to worry.

What's probably even a better solution is to just list employment and dates and don't address any gaps.

but don't they specifically tell you not to leave any gaps?

I'd list it as 'Unemployed'... as people have said: it's not a job application; they just want to be able to get a FULL picture
