Question about postmark vs received date

My wife's GC expires on 8/12. We were completely oblivious to the fact that we had to file a petition within the 90 days of GC expiry. Good thing we came into the senses, almost by accident, and mailed out a petition on 8/5 via UPS. Due to weekend, and despite paying for next day it was delivered today 8/10. Am I too late to file? Do they go by postmark/received date? I have proof of delivery because I added signature guarantee. I'm biting my nails. Please help.

USCIS will use the date they received the i751 application, so if they have it today you should be on time with your application even if it takes a few days to process the application.

K1 Visa Arrived USA July 2017

Married August 2017

AOS Approved July 2018

 

Filed for i751 joint application May 2020

Fingerprints reused October 2020, and February 2021 and June 2021 (Yes 3 fingerprint notices)

Case move to National Benefits Center December 2020 for quicker processing from California Service Center

Oct 2021 out of processing time inquiry made, response May 5th 2022 that our i751 case will be addressed at our n400 interview

Combo interview May 16th 2022, in Sacramento

Approved June 08, 2022

 

Filed for Naturalization May 2021

Fingerprints reused May 2021

Combo interview May 16th 2022, in Sacramento, 

Approved June 08, 2022

Oath Ceremony completed June 29th 2022

They go by received date -8/10 in your case and GC expires 2 days later, no need to bite your nails.
