Feeling Discouraged

Man, I am so discouraged right now its not even funny. I've been waiting for my NOA2 since Jan 26. That would make this day 66 and still not even a hindrence of getting it soon. I know people have been waiting a lot longer but how do you stay strong during this? I feel myself starting to crack at the seams and I feel bad about that. I just can't deal with this frustration. I want to be with my fiance so bad and it just hurts like heck that I can't be. We've been apart for 19 months now and it seems to get harder and harder with each month. You would think it would get easier but it doesnt. I don't know what to do or how to feel. I'm frustrated and it hurts and I know my fiance is feeling much the same way. He doesn't even want to make sense of things anymore. I don't understand why things have to go without a pattern and why some people are getting their cases processed faster. It seems to me that no matter what changes are made CSC is always going to be the slowest. I try to be supportive of everyone else's happiness but its difficult you know? I know we are all in this together and I'm just glad I have a support system like VJ to come to. I can't help but cry when I see someone else has gotten their NOA2 and is on the way to their interview. Ok, enough or I'm going to start crying again. I just needed to vent so thanks for listening. I'm sure I come off as quite the whiner.

Cannot get down in the dumps. Look at my timeline and I have to stay positive or I would have no hair or all gray and my ulcer would be more inflamed. Seriously do not compare your timeline or journey to anyone else's and try to be supportive of others is what keeps me going. Find something else to keep you motiviated a hobby, a good novel or something else other than your timeline. Good luck and pray for patience.

Mary

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

I know how you feel. This process is very frustrating and then add the distance too it is just mind boggling. I wish things would move along faster. I cry all the time and sometimes I get so frustrated that I just want to scream, which I don't.... :(

Praying works for me... I pray everyday...

Good luck and I hope you get good news soon.

This can be an extremely trying process, but the one thing to remember is: Don't compare your case to anyone else. Everyone's is different and you'll only get yourself upset doing that.

As Mary said, Seriously do not compare your timeline or journey to anyone else's and try to be supportive of others is what keeps me going. Find something else to keep you motiviated a hobby, a good novel or something else other than your timeline. And if you check out Mary's timeline, you'd wonder how she is still sane, but she is  and a great support to others here.

I know how you feel, because i got my first noa almost at he same time as you, and it seems i'll never ge the second noa.

And i know no matter what i say, you wont feel better, because its your own feeling, like i have mine...

People here say to me to be patiente and blablabla but i dont wanna be patiente, i wanna be with him right now.

I know exactly how you feel.

Now bryan and me started to pray together every day... someday, i dont know when, but someday we will get it. and we will be together.

Believe in me, i share this feeling, and i hope to see you better.

If you need, im here too.

Pray for us, i pray for you too.

*Hugs

Yeah... It really does hurt, baby! Sometimes I also don't know what to do to stop thinking about my anxiety for a little, at least...

I try to focus on my plans and in our life together when I'm there! I'm trying to get as much information as I can on how my life will be. I agree with the person that said that praying is good to relieve the pain! I do it often too... Ask God for strengh and patience, or else I will go crazy untill I get my visa.

Nebraska is not much faster than California, but I keep the hope it won't take too long for me to get my 2nd NOA! And I wish this to you too!

Good luck! Kisses!

Hi,

well you need lots of patience while dealing with the CSC, we have been waiting for more than 5 months for our NOA2 and still havent heard anything, when we try to contact them all they tell us is to wait 60 days before we contact them againg and never tell us a clear answer about what is going on with our case. It makes me feel that they put us and our lifes on hold and think that maybe we will split up. I wish they knew how hard it is to be without the person you love and you cant even do anything about it, just wait, not even visit your fiance, they just do everything to make it as hard as possible. Im very upset with the way they treat us, its our life, not just a folder of papers which doesnt mean anything.

Anyway, Im wishing you good luck and lots of patience.

Our NOA2 took 192 days!!!! Luckily, we got to see each other every weekend because we only lived 2 1/2 hours from each other.

Everyone's case is different, even if your circumstances seem the same as someone else's. There is NO rhyme or reason to USCIS. One day, you'll go to your mailbox.... and there it will be.... the NOA2 and you will be so happy.

Good luck and best wishes to you both.

All excellent advice here...I hope things move for you soon. We all know the depressing wait, the longing to be with our beloveds...I remember that feeling as well. Right now, we're playing Montréal's waiting game. It's too reminiscent (sp?) of the wait for the NOA2. But, what choice do we have? When I stop to think...this is only temporary, then I can get my perspective back and get out of the slump.

HUGSSSSSSSSSSSS for you...I truly understand those feelings. :luv:

I know it may not be practical for many, because of not being able to get time off or the cost, but what I did was fly to see my fiancee when the wait was starting to get to both of us. Though I only got to see her for a week, once I made the plans to go there, it gave us something else to focus on... A DATE!!! It makes all the difference in the world when you have a goal, or a target date. That's why the wait for the NOA2 is the hardest part of the whole process, especially if you have to go through the CSC (either directly or from TSC). Just hang in there, and though I know exactly where you're coming about your feelings when seeing other people get NOA2s or Visas, just think of them as one less person in the line in front of you! :)
