Did Congressional Inquiry & Got Replied!

Hello,

So, my wife case stuck in AP since Dec 2020, after her an interview. We made congressional inquiry and this is what we have received:

 

"Thank you for your email concerning the immigrant visa petition filed by ****** on behalf of ****** with assigned case number *******.  We completed our processing of this petition and forwarded it to the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan on November 17, 2020. Department of State records show that ****** was interviewed at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, on December 18, 2020. Currently, this case is undergoing administrative processing in order to verify her qualifications for this visa".

 

Thing, I didn't understand from this email that they didn't email directly to embassy which I was expecting instead they email to NVC(DOS) for my case update. I was expecting congressman to email Embassy to have them "act faster" instead they email NVC (DOS)

Am I wrong somewhere? Does anyone have same thing happen?

A congress person can inquire but has no authority to tell them to act faster.

Can you explain how you contacted the congress for a congressional inquiry?  I would like to do the same

Hmm, Contact your local congressman or State senator. But, go for congressman since senator are too busy to reply. Go to their website and contact them using inquiry form. Once you do they will contact you via email or by phone amd they will email to embassy, DOS or NVC.

DOS is DOS, whether it is NVC or an embassy.  

 

You were expecting their email to make the AP go faster?   That is not within the power of congress members.
