Not really a surprise, heck, look at Subway's experience with Jared.  Full disclosure, I haven't eaten at a Subway in years, had a bad experience with one in the Toronto area in 2002 and have not been back since.

She is definitely a good soccer player.  I don't agree with her political activism, but it is her freedom to spout her mouth off as she see fit (assuming it does not run afoul of her employers) just as it is the right of the franchise owners to voice their opinion.  Not really sure why a company that wishes to cater to everyone would choose a political divisive person as a spokesperson, I am guessing a CBA was done, and since those on the Right or Conservatives are much more forgiving, they expect to not lose a lot of business.  That may be changing, but who knows.

At some point, these businesses will have to choose whether or not they want to fear a small group of very loud people or a large group of everyday people who don’t want anything to do with what social justice extremists have to offer.

But the larger group will very rarely boycott.

I agree, in the past the larger group was rarely active in avoiding a business for political reasons.  I wonder if that will start changing.

I have had dreadful. It is what it is but not dreadful. Double meat club was decent.

Perhaps we are just spoiled for choice here at so many excellent sandwich shops, but my experience with Subway has always been major food poisoning. TBH the husband says it's not much different in the UK.
