Our case has been updated to being actively reviewed today, but since not much time has passed yet I can't say it's dragged on, but I hope they can pick up the pace.

Is anyone else stuck at "Case is Being Actively Reviewed by USCIS?' It's been 140 days without any movement at all. Emma is no help at all.

150 days now for me and still absolutely nothing. My FO is so slow it's not surprising but the fact that there still isn't any movement on my EAD/AP is has seriously killed my mental health over the last few months. And then you see people who only just filed in Nov/Dec get their EAD approved this week lmao... 😐

It is really disheartening. I'm sorry you're struggling. We filed the AP first, thinking that would allow my husband to see his son sooner. We expedited that successfully, but didn't file for the EAD until December, so we've just decided to enroll him in classes because he won't be working for the next decade or so at this rate! I'm in Houston and it's SSSLLLOOOWWW.

Hang in there. You’ve done everything you can, and at this point it is a waiting game. I know it is easier said than done. Reach out if you need to talk, after all, most of us here are in the same boat, and understand each other.

Our case has updated today with "Card is being produced" for the I-765. It shows the I-131 as "Case closed" and they appear as a concurrent filing, so I am pretty sure we will be receiving the combo card.

Officially a year since we filed our i130 & i485 concurrently- still no movement since biometrics in September and receiving advanced parole in November. We are reapplying for advanced parole next week, which I wish we'd done sooner at this rate. Now trying to figure out the best way to go about getting paperwork started for my stepson. We originally wanted to just get him a tourist visa to be able to visit, but appointments for tourist visas in Mexico City are still a year out- our appointment is August 2023. With that kind of wait, guess we might as well get his i130 started?

We've found some kind of balance in this crazy holding pattern, but it sucks sometimes. I do worry that the frequent trips back to Mexico to see my stepson will hurt our application during the interview, but what can we do when immigration is overburdened, overwhelmed, and dragging its ###?

I am super grateful for the fact that we can manage as well as we do on a single salary and that my stepson is a freaking rockstar at handling the long-distance parenting. Surely USCIS realizes that their system strains the very families that go through it. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Anyway, how is everyone doing? Updates have been sparse for our cohort.

Both I-130 and I-485 were updated to "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS" this week, and the I-130 was approved a day later. The I-485 is still being reviewed, but I am hopeful that the interview gets waived as I've heard that's happening for some people. In either case we still need to get the I-693 done since we did not submit that with the initial application. Hoping that other August people are hearing back or will hear back soon.

Seems hopeful if the i-130 went through so quickly after the status change. Crossing my fingers things continue moving for you! We also have to do the medical. Any idea what field office is process your paperwork?

Thank you! It should be the Salt Lake field office for us.

We received the RFE for the I-693, so it looks like the interview may be waived. We are going on a trip soon though and I think it might be best to get the exam done but mail it after the trip (the due date will allow for this with a comfortable margin). This will delay the processing a bit but hopefully removes the risk of the application somehow being denied while we are out of the country.

I-485 was approved earlier this month and the card is being produced! Interview was waived for us.

@ToastedMuffin I see you FO was SLC , Utah , just wondering did you approval come from SLC or another FO? We're also SLC but both our i-130 and i-485 have been transferred to the Chicago FO

Our FO was SLC, Utah through the biometrics, but after that our case was sent to the Memphis, TN office for the actual review of the I-130 and I-485. As far as I can tell that was done because the interview was waived so they forwarded the work to another office.
