jmdiaz,

What day and time did he pass through the immigration desk at the POE?

Yodrak

My husband came to the US on a k1 visa a month ago and we will be filing for adjustment of status soon. He is interested in studying in a university. Does anyone know at what point he would be legally eligible to do so?

The easiest way to find this out is to talk to the University he wants to go to and find out what their requirements are.

Yes, definitely watch out for the international tuition and various fees that schools like to tack on to your tuition bill if you are international student. I think that with his AOS in progress your husband should be able to register as "pending" permanent and avoid paying international tuition and international health insurance and other stuff like that.

Yeah.. It's probably better to wait until he is considered resident in your state, so that he's gonna be able to get the lowest tuitions. And this time varies from one state to another. Here in Iowa you are considered a resident after three months of residency. So, you really need to check with the University.
