Ok, just for clarification, the Biometrics Appt letter does indeed state both case numbers and in the "code" box it says 3 (like jenn3539 says). Should we make an infopass appt?

Me

I would make one and be sure to bring your stamped biometrics appointment notice with you. Perhaps it is not updated in their system that both biometrics were completed.

We had one appt. letter for both applications (I-485 and I-765) as well and yes, both case numbers were given and a Code 3. Two bar codes are also given and it could be that when they swiped your bar codes under the scanner, only one was scanned/only one registered. Or a glitch in the system when transfering has resulted in the prints being filed only with the I-765 and not the I-485.

I would make an infopass apt and take the email, because you don't want to "correct" anyone, but the chances are you will not be getting a biometrics appt. letter for the I-485 anytime soon as the system has registered processing one appt for both applications.

Since this case is also at CSC, see what your local office can do and you may have to send another email to CSC including a scan of your biometrics notice which clearly states two applications covered.

It could also just be that someone quickly responded to your email without fully checking the file... and all is well, just chugging along.

Good luck!!! Cardamom

Ok, so, we just returned from a very unproductive trip to ASC, frusrated at the system and a little po'd at the rudeness of the officers we spoke to. We arrived on time w/ all our documentation. Step to the 1st window, the officer looks at the papers, we explain the issue, and she says "Processing takes 18 mos - you just have to wait. We can't file any inquiries until after 18 mos.":help: I explain again abt the biometrics issue (we had them done already, the notice from CSC says they need the bio data. She says, if it's a problem w/ Biometrics, you need to step to window 6. OK... off to window 6 we go. They check into it at window 6, say Biometrics are done already you need to see Window 1 in this office (where we just came from). I tell her that's who just sent us here to see her. She goes back in her little office and then the Window 1 Madam returns to another random window, calls us over and says "I *told* you it takes 18 mos. You just have to wait!"  :help: Resigned to having no help here today, we go to leave, hubby heads to the car, I stop at the restroom. Getting into the elevator w/ me is the Biometrics officer. She says to me "You *didn't* read this correctly. :help: ('scuse me?) Hands me back the email I had printed and brought w/ us and proceeds to tell me that I didn't read it right and they have the info and we've done all we can do, now we have to wait - and she wasn't the least bit pleasant about it. As if I were an idiot!! Then she tells me that I've wasted my time. I replied to her "Clearly I have". This exchange about not reading the email correctly was repeated to me at least 3x even tho I tried explaing to her how it sounded to me. Clearly, in her mind, I f**^$ up.

What now????????????? Seriously, do we *just* wait?

Don't mess w/ a pregnant woman, dangit!!!!!!!!

Does no one have any suggestion for me? :help::blush:

Write a letter of complaint to the Director of that office, and include your evidence. I bet you get a result.

I would also cc the Ombudsman

I sent an email inquiry about our case about 2 weeks ago. Just got this reply today... What do you make of this?

Mr. S needs to complete the biometrics requirements. An appointment notice will be mailed when the ASC in his area has appointments available. Once the biometrics data captured, his I-485 will be processed. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Officer C. Chen

Subject: Case # MSCXXXXXXX

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to inquire about the status of our I485 (case # MSCXXXXXXX). We received our NOA1 on Feb 8, 2007. It has been almost 5 months since we filed and 3 months since our case was transferred to CSC.

Here's our timeline so far:

NOA1 Feb. 8, 2007

Biometrics Mar 8, 2007

EAD approved April 17, 2007

AP approved April 19, 2007

Is there any time frame we can be looking at for approval of the I485? Can we look for approval soon?

Thank you for your time.

Mr. & Mrs. S

Could you tell me which email address did you sent to? I field my case in Feb 2007 but I haven't been approved yet.

Is there any way you can scan your bios info and attach it to a reply email to the CSC? Perhaps if they see that along with the email history they can check into things for you.

Good luck!

ME~n~HIM, have you tried replying back to the same email address and letting this Officer know that you've already completed your biometrics requirement? See what the reply is then.

At this point, I would also be contacting my elected Reps to make an inquiry on my behalf as well.
