Hello ,

My fiance had got k1 visas in January in India but then he couldn't travel to US because of family emergency and his visa expired. What is the next steps? Is it possible for any extension of visas or we have to start the process all over again ?

If we restart the process then do I have to email Mumbai embassy to cancel the petition or call USCIS.

Thanks

Given  the times we are in and the covid situation..I will be positive the embassy can actually consider his case for a reissue...but will not bank on it.

So I should email the Indian embassy ?

Visas cannot be extended. You should contact the US Embassy/Consulate which issued the original visa.  If the visa holder could not travel due to circumstances beyond his/her control, the consulate can, at their discretion, re-issue the visa.  It will require a new medical exam, and possibly more documents, and another interview.
