Does nvc contact beneficiary?

I'm guessing this question has been asked several times but I haven't paid any attention to the answers. My k1 petition, like many others, is still waiting for the embassy in the philippines to get the interview date. That matter aside, does the nvc contact the beneficiary or does the Manila embassy do that? Do either of them need her email address or mailing address? I do remember putting her address on the paperwork but I don't recall putting her email on anything. So I'm wondering when she is supposed to be contacted and how?

They should be contacted via email from the embassy. Their email would have been provided somewhere along the process.

same email ID that received the NOA2 notice which should be the petitioner as they must do the I 134 and provide IRS transcripts

some embassys may send to both petitioner and bene so i am sure you will hear from Philippine members

I never got a noa2 email. Just a text/physical mail.

NVC sends out a physical letter to the petitioner after they have received the approved petition from USCIS and given it a case number. Not everyone gets this letter for some reason, we got it but never needed it for anything. Only the case number was needed and you can call NVC to get this over the phone.

Once the case leaves NVC (you'll know the embassy has received it when the ceac status says "ready") it's all in the hands of the embassy. So every correspondence thereafter will be from the embassy. My particular embassy emailed the petitioner, not me the beneficiary. My then fiance just forwarded the email to me. This varies greatly between embassies, you'll hear from others who have been through the PH embassy.

NVC does NOT contact the beneficiary.  Is your petition still at NVC?  When was your approval date?

YMMV

Hi payxibka, yes my k1 petition is still at the nvc like many others. The uscis approved the petition on June 5th of 2020. It of course was sent to the nvc and has been there ever since and I guess will be there until the Manila embassy gets off their butt and starts processing k1 visas again. I have heard that they have started back up but at a limited capacity. So I'm waiting like everyone else.

If you've never visited the Philippines forum, maybe you should.   A lot of information specific to Philippines can be gotten
