I am sure there has to be a way around it like going to a embassy in the US. It would not make since for a Russian who is living here is almost a citizen just to go to Russia and wait 15 day to enjoy a vacation in Greece ;)

The one issue with having her son apply alone is if he is not traveling with parent they must have a notarized letter stating he can go. He traveling with a parent but just does does not look that way if applying alone.

How old is your step son? My fiancé elder daughter is 15 years old and she wants to spend the summer in Russia and I am not sure if she will have problems traveling to America alone from Russia

He is 17 about to graduate HS there. He turns 18 in September so we need his here before then. Otherwise it Army time another year lost. If the pandemic never happened he could have gotten 3 year of HS. He could have at least gotten 2 here Russia did not make it difficulty after that. So now he is graduating there. When he gets here he would have a equivalent of one year left here. At that point it make no sense  to put him in school here since he has already graduated there.

I have no idea about traveling alone as a minor. I guess it really depends on age, a countries rules, and if they are capable of doing it. If he spoke better English or was use to traveling around he could effectively do it by himself. Still even in other countries hotels and stuff have to by 18 to check in.

I'm getting total "crickets" out of Turkish Airlines on my effort to send a care package to my wife and son in Moscow.  I have emailed the regional manager for Atlanta and got his autoresponder that included 3 additional email address to use, tried them all, sent a 2nd request, 3rd day now and not a single response from anyone at Turkish Airlines. Go to the web site for TA cargo and there is only an email address to respond out to, no local phone number is listed.  Called Turkish Airlines customer service number, they gave me a number that was suppose to be for the freight/cargo group upstairs, it's a dead/non-working number.

Reading a lot about special task forces locking down shipping container ships and closely monitoring goods that were previously not being controlled going into Russia. It's like they are quite literally trying to choke Russia to financial death and starvation of the general population.

Not getting any joy here at all.  Anyone have any ideas how to get a care package to Russia/Moscow.  Quite literally my wife is likely to run out of money in 60 days approximately and it's just dominos beyond that. It's not just a simple matter of why don't I just bring her to the USA, she doesn't have a US visa (yet). I can't even send her a greeting card with cash or an international money order in it!

What a cluster this mess is....

Were you not able to figure out the wire transfer? It's still working at many banks in Russia.

I will have to look deeper into this. She already has two accounts at different accounts, both of them are sanctioned.

I thinkit was "Chase" that someone in this post indicated they had recently had success with.

@ovb

"Hi StevenInAtlanta! Thank you for sharing your case. Were you actually able to reschedule for a later date already? Without having to wait until after your April 12 originally scheduled interview? And what is your visa type if you don't mind sharing? Thank you."

After we got the interview invitation email, we used the link to go to the URL referenced a few times earlier in this post to complete her online profile.  Once the profile is completed, you then have access to the reschedule app.  Before then the link was dead and went nowhere. During the process of reschedule, it was indicated that it could only be done after you missed your initially scheduled interview, but I moved forward with the next button anyway and had no problem getting to the scheduling calendar, picking a date (first available was in August 31) and finishing the reschedule process.  After the 'done' button I was presented with a confirmation screen and also received a confirmation email, both of which contain the interview schedule date, confirmation and the all important barcode that is used when you appear.  So I don't know for sure if waiting till you miss your appointment is actually a firm requirement or if maybe the online system just doesn't support the requirement. It's possible the online system doesn't have any feedback loop/connection to the scheduling system or a missed appointment isn't tracked where the online system can actually track and enforce the requirement.  But it seems from our perspective that we were able to reschedule and we got the confirmation to prove it.  Don't know if at some point in the future we get another email indicating we did not follow the procedure....

Thanks for the detailed explanation! I was also able to reschedule our interview this way. Initially I was offered July 18 as the closest interview date, so I kept checking every few hours to see if anything sooner becomes available, and it did. I got April 21. My understanding is that their scheduling system is very dynamic, and things may change by the hour (perhaps because it's one of the largest US embassies in Europe, so naturally they may have more applicants who need to reschedule). I'll call the embassy after our NVC-scheduled date passes to make sure the rescheduled date has actually registered on their end.

I got uscis approved our case, I’d like to know the most recent information about the medical examination and interviews if anyone can post their most recent experiences.
1. I read from previous posts saying Warsaw embassy must need you bring the package 3 to the interview, is  that still true?  That means you must wait for the package to arrive at my fiancé Russia address to schedule the medical examination and interviews? Can anyone tell how long it will take for Warsaw embassy to mail the package to my fiancé Russia address?

2. How long we need wait for the medical examination results? I just read it will take at least a week, my fiancé has two kids, 15 and 10, and I will let them do medical examination in Warsaw because it’s expensive and I can pay only in Warsaw, but I just scheduled a week in Warsaw, I wonder need at least two weeks in Warsaw?

3. If we apply for Schengen visas through Greece embassy in Russia and do we need enter Schengen area through Greece or we can just fly from Istanbul to Warsaw directly? Can we tell Greece embassy we need do the interview in Warsaw as the excuses or using a regular tourist visa excuses?

Congratulations on having your uscis approval! At this point you'll need to wait until USCIS schedules your interview. Our case was approved by USCIS in September of 2020, and we just got our interview scheduled for April 1st, 2022 (and had to reschedule for April 21st due to super short notice). But then again, we became part of this whole Covid/transferring Russian applicants to Warsaw backlog, so maybe now the line will move faster.

We just did our medical in Moscow, and we didn't have to have a physical invitation package to schedule that, just an email with the scheduled interview date. Can't speak for Warsaw medical centers.

My understanding is that the whole Schengen situation is in constant flux at the moment because of the war in Urkaine. We got Italian Schengen and were going to go by car through the Belorussian-Polish border. Until just a few days ago, people were crossing it with any schengen visa, and it was totally fine. But now you can't cross that border with a non-Polish schengen. Most people I consulted highly recommended entering the Schengen zone via the country whose visa you got and from there flying to Warsaw. Hope this helps.

Our case arrived in NVC yesterday. I saw many Russia cases got expedited and approved and one take just 172 days and I hope Warsaw embassy not get too busy

Warsaw is backed up until October 20 iirc, I just checked this morning. As a general timeline, there are several filers whose packets got to Warsaw mid-late March and are still awaiting Packet 3. Nonetheless, your packet will not stay at NVC for long; Warsaw is actively requesting them, yours should be at the embassy in less than two weeks.
