Oh I tried to register too but it also said not ready for the interview message too. I assume it takes a few days before it registers into their system?

I got the same message too. I read that it takes a few days for the system to be ready, so I wasn't surprised.

Let's just give a few days and try to celebrate our step forward this weekend.

Yah, I picked the first one since it was the most relevant one out of the other options. I hope everything is alright 😅

My wife said she updated our timeline.

Please revisit that; your timeline is not appropriately updated.

Yeah, my husband is Canadian citizen. Wondering if I take copy of his passport and show his Canadian company pay stubs and say that we are returning back. My husband and my son are in u.s. and they will follow next week. What do you think?

Thanks guys for your suggestions and help as always. I was able to fly with an expired PR card. I just took copy of marriage certificate and my husband's passport copy. And it was fine :)

After you got your interview letter, did you register your appointment online from the ais.usavisa-info website to create an account and such?

Can't do it yet, I think there's a delay before you can register it. I'm gonna try again on Monday. :) But yes, this is a thing we need to do.

No way. I refuse to believe this.

If we go by what you predict for Oct- That's only a handful of interviews for CR-1 for September.

Also by that time K-1 backlog will no longer an issue.

I'd go by the number of interviews instead of the dates DQed so for JULY IL for Aug- its about 14 entries

So I am hoping to see 14 entries which could possibly cover OCT 6- OCT 26

FINGERS CROSSED!

I might be completely off here, but looking at the spreadsheet I dont see any new people DQ after Dec... I wonder what that means, if they have not found our forum yet or there had been very few marriages during the pandemic. If the ladder is the case, that should give the consulate to catch up on the backlogs by the end of this year, hopefully.

Congratulations to everyone on their interview letters.  However, based on the pace Montreal is working at, I think I made a mistake changing the interview location when NVC initially assigned me to interview in the country of my birth (i.e., South Korea)...

Your DQ is in April 2021, so you might want to seriously investigate the possibility of transferring your case back to South Korea.

If I knew Montreal would be this bad much earlier last year, I would have seriously considered transferring my case back to my home country. By the time I learnt it takes only 2-3 months from DQ to get an IL at the consulate in my home country even during the pandemic, I already waited in queue for 8 months and was extremely close to getting an IL from Montreal, so I didn't consider it. South Korea must have far fewer immigrant visa applicants than Canada, so the wait time for an IL is likely to be much shorter.

What option did you guys select when registering for the appointment, am I right to think it's the first option? Since Im still having the issue this morning on the site (appointment not ready yet), I just want to make sure I'm doing things right...

I think it's the first one, but I'm not 100% sure. Please correct me if someone else knows exactly.

I agree switch when you can. Montreal is on of the top backlogged. They are prob very understaffed and don’t foresee that being fixed anytime soon.
