I don’t think we will get letters tomorrow it’s prob going to be next week some time. Eb just got letters this week so Montreal is prob trying to fit us around those dates. I think they are doing the small groups 1 then what ever is left they fill it up with ir1 and cr1. Sadly the backlog is still growing :(

What made you think this month's batch is going to be small? I see K1s got a lot more interviews for August than July, so I was thinking this batch will be much bigger for spousal as well. They started interviewing Sep DQs in May and they are still interviewing Sep DQs in August. This has been excruciating.

We just don't know, we can't predict anything about ILs, there is no real pattern. They will be sent this month that's for sure 😅

@Twiz&Toz I agree with this, or at least that the IR1/CR1 batch will be no smaller than the July batch.

The fact that Montreal has issued IL for EB category for August (as you reported) has confirmed my previous fears that Montreal may use up the additional slots gained from Quebec going into green zone for tier 3/4. I was hoping those additional slots would be assigned to us, but I can understand they have to cater to tier 3 and 4 which has long been ignored. Nonetheless, I do not think Montreal would do that at the expense of tier 2 (which includes ir1/cr1), so our slots should be the same as July, if not more.

Guys,

Good news here. My wife just received her IL for August 16th. We were DQed Oct 2, 2020, IR1 visa category. They sent the email at 1:31 pm. Hoping others here receive their ILs soon. Thank you everyone. Having this group to cope with the wait and difficulties has been a great blessing.
