Hi all - I am new to this community, based in Mississauga, Canada. I have been DQ-ed on Sep 21st and still waiting on IL from the Montreal Consulate. How do I add myself on the tracking sheet?

Please fill in your Visa Journey timeline and follow the instructions in my signature.  @Hawk Riders will then add you.  Also, please read the FAQ's.  MANY questions have been answered repeatedly, hence the FAQ's.  Welcome :)

Based on their tracker, it doesn't seem like they are catching up with K1 though. The ILs issued in May only covers roughly for a month worth of backlog and the pace remains the same from April.

My partner (American citizen petitioner) emailed Montreal consulate asking if they are interviewing CR1/IR1 category in June at all this week, but no response yet. Last time he inquired them for a different question, he got a response the next day although it was a generic response.

Again, all we want to know is whether they are interviewing for CR1/IR1 in June at all.

I think they may only do a small amount of cr1 ect like 25-50 and bump k1 up to the 300 mark. Remember only a small amount of ppl will post there info online. Not everyone is on here. Out of the 300 last month we only had less then 20 ppl on this form report it.

Please read the FAQ and the DoS page for this information.

Thank you. I got the answer and also updated the timeline. New to this group hence missed it.

Why so much for UHaul?  I'd also kijiji the cr@p out of my stuff and just get rid of unimportant stuff.

I see a lot of people use UPack.

Not as far as I am aware.  Most people seem to be getting SSN's within a couple of weeks of entry and the GC not log after.

Please fill out your timeline and search the FAQ's.  Instructions in the signature below.

Thanks. I did that.

New to this forum, missed the instructions.

Im thinking Montreal may not do our class next month and try to catch up on k1 as the back log is way longer then ours. I know it crummy and yes we have to wait longer but remember it being hope to a group that’s really struggling. My advice is if you think ur police reports passport photos are due to expire get in and get new one done ASAP. That way u have them and won’t be put on ap.

Agreed. I redid my fingerprints here in the US this morning. The package just got shipped off to Commissionaires right now. This way, I won’t have to worry about renewing when I come back to Canada, especially now knowing of few people have been waiting over 3 weeks to get their letter from the RCMP.

Not the US. The US shares information between its agencies.

Yes, you do not need a police certificate from the US if you have spent more than 6 months there. I have lived in the US for 14 months, and only need a police certificate from Canada.

Did you send a request to extend your B1/B2 Visa? I thought we were only allowed 6 months in a year.

Some people have different circumstances beyond being a visitor.

I was on an L1 work visa and lived in the US for over 5 years (hence my needing to leave to prevent visa overstay).  I did not need a PRC for the US because they can just ask the policing agencies for it.

Exactly, same as what @mam521 indicated. Many people have authorization to stay in the US in other statuses. I am in the US working in TN status.

That's wonderful for everyone who is able to do so and stay with your spouses. Can't wait for the day that I won't have to worry about being separated for extended periods of time. Alright, let's stay positive, hoping some miracle of good news comes our way with ILs...

What kind of waiver are you applying for, are you trying to overcome an inadmissibility and what grounds? But yeah, they do take a good while as far as I know. If you have an inadmissibility visiting the US is probably out right now. 😕

I'm not too familiar with the wavier process so hopefully someone else can be of more help.

Yes it is the I-601 inadmissible.
