Sometimes I feel it's best to imagine we are skipping a month. That way we can be pleasently surprised but at least not be disappointed when our expectations are not met. Basically don't have expectations.

On another note any good ideas for moving? We are thinking to load a few pallets and have someone take them over the border and then just ship them as freight to our new house.  U haul seems to be at least 4000-5000 plus moving the car another 2000 including importing it.   Should we just throw everything out or sell it and just buy new?

Wowzers, I paid less than that to ship all my stuff from the UK to Vancouver, BC....and I had a lot of random stuff! XD

Hey, yeah...I just got back from Montreal. I will write a full more derailed review in the next few days. But I was not approved I need to apply for a waiver. That's going to take a while.

Yup, I did submit one  (interview report).

I’m sorry you need to go through more hoops. I hope that it’s quick when you get the documents you need. Did they keep your passports?

This is the interesting thing, they were gonna keep the passports but then as I kept talking about the waiver and details they decided to give the passports back to me and I would have to mail them to them with the waiver. Does it matter if they keep the passports or not? I know someone who is waiting for a waiver for a long time and they still have their passports. If it turns out to be a 6 months wait. I could still visit during that time. Do you know anything about this ???

What kind of waiver are you applying for, are you trying to overcome an inadmissibility and what grounds? But yeah, they do take a good while as far as I know. If you have an inadmissibility visiting the US is probably out right now. 😕

I'm not too familiar with the wavier process so hopefully someone else can be of more help.

What is the waiver for?? Could you be more specific as to what the issue is ??

Another thread that's tracking DQ and interviews. An applicant in Columbia got an IL on 14th for June 1st interview, so NVC seems to be working, which means this delay is likely to be more location specific. It appears those in Mexico and UK haven't seen ILs for June yet either.

... and the visa backlog report is down.

The backlog report is global right
I am curious to see Montreal stats lol not that I would put much stock in the numbers and timeframes that they choose to share with us.

Im thinking Montreal may not do our class next month and try to catch up on k1 as the back log is way longer then ours. I know it crummy and yes we have to wait longer but remember it being hope to a group that’s really struggling. My advice is if you think ur police reports passport photos are due to expire get in and get new one done ASAP. That way u have them and won’t be put on ap.

Why so much for UHaul?  I'd also kijiji the cr@p out of my stuff and just get rid of unimportant stuff.

I see a lot of people use UPack.

Is there a spreadsheet out there tracking how long it took for people to receive SSN & Greencard? Thx

Not as far as I am aware.  Most people seem to be getting SSN's within a couple of weeks of entry and the GC not log after.

Based on their tracker, it doesn't seem like they are catching up with K1 though. The ILs issued in May only covers roughly for a month worth of backlog and the pace remains the same from April.

My partner (American citizen petitioner) emailed Montreal consulate asking if they are interviewing CR1/IR1 category in June at all this week, but no response yet. Last time he inquired them for a different question, he got a response the next day although it was a generic response.

Again, all we want to know is whether they are interviewing for CR1/IR1 in June at all.

Hi all - I am new to this community, based in Mississauga, Canada. I have been DQ-ed on Sep 21st and still waiting on IL from the Montreal Consulate. How do I add myself on the tracking sheet?
