April Stats (CR-1/IR-1) are out.

Nov - 76

Dec - 162

Jan - 245

Feb - 258

Mar  - 316

April - 304

April number was pretty high. I don't see K1 visa listed there, so perhaps this means literally they started interviewing K1 visas in March?

It doesn't seem fair if they suspended CR1/IR1 as we are still supposed to be the highest priority and should be interviewed along with K1.

K1s are considered Non immigrant visas, and therefore would be on a different list

Here is a link to find the K1 stats :)

Just for perspective here, April issuance numbers are for the IL letter batch that went out in March, which was still a fair amount assigned. May statistics will show In the June statistics, and I think this is where we will really begin to see the drop off. Even if they had so many cancellations that they were like okay let’s use June to redo all the cancellations, that’d be fine I just want to know.

i an living in 2-4 week cycles of rising hope and plummeting despair and it is killing me. I’ll go for my medical and get rejected because my heart got so broken by the process.

Is it possible they are still sending out the IL’s by the end of the week? Or am I just being too hopeful :( I’m so stressed about all this

There has been no pattern to how/when they send out ILs. I think most of us have given up thinking they will send them out, but none of us know for sure that they won't send any IR1/CR1s out still

I'm still clinging onto that hope... The Immigrant Prioritization announcement on April 30 clearly states their goal is to at a minimum preventing the backlog from growing, so if they strop interviewing CR1/IR1 all together in June, the backlog of CR1/IR1 will certainly grow and they will literally fail to meet the goal that they just announced and contradicts with their mission to serve American citizens who are trying to reunite with immediate families.

There are many staff working at the consulate, so I'm sure there are a handful of them who are aware of VJ and even might check this thread.

If you are reading, we beg you to interview CR1/IR1 category in June. Spouses are literally immediate families of American citizens, and if you intend to stay true to your mission, interviews for CR1/IR1 must at least move along with other categories like K1.

"This prioritization plan instructs posts to maximize their limited resources to accommodate as many immediate relative and fiancé(e) cases as possible with a goal of, at a minimum, preventing the backlog from growing in these categories and hopefully reducing it."

I really wish that there was a way to talk to someone. The automated responses in emails, and phone calls is just ridiculous. The constant guessing game, being kept in the dark, feeling like we're not important to them is making the situation worse on us. Some are able to brush it off  and carry on, but lately I am finding this extremely difficult to do.

It's really cruel for sure....I imagine they're doing it because they would say the same thing to everyone. But yeah, just some transparency would have been really nice...if they went on their twitter and were like "Folks, we're not gonna be doing many IR/CR interviews in June as we have got to reduce the backlogs in other categories" I would have been a heck of a lot happier. Sure, a delayed interview sucks, but being saved from the days of anguish over whether or not it would happen and the complete stress would have been significantly reduced. Right now, I have no idea whether we're gonna get interviewed in July, September or even December at this rate because they have not clearly told us what to expect.

I know as non-citizens we do not have a right to a visa, but this is an American citizen consular service, and our American spouses are hurting just as much. -sigh- Anyways, I'm probably not gonna be too active on VJ for a bit, I need to focus on some other things, the amount of stress the last two weeks caused which culminated in basically nothing has broken me. Wishing everyone on here all the best and sending out all the love, we will get through this. ❤️

Sending good vibes and virtual hugs!

What I know, since Canada is your Country of chargeability, You will still need to provide the valid Police Certificate and if you have lived in US or other country as current residence you have to provide Police Certificate too

Not the US. The US shares information between its agencies.

This is the longest the embassy has taken this year to send out letters for the following month. It’s hard to understand why they do it so late. We were DQed on Oct 2, 2020. Hoping we are included in this round of letters :(

I’m with you, we were DQ’d oct 6 so were hoping we get in with the next letters sent out but it’s possible we won’t. And now that they haven’t even sent them out yet I feel even less hopeful :(

Sometimes I feel it's best to imagine we are skipping a month. That way we can be pleasently surprised but at least not be disappointed when our expectations are not met. Basically don't have expectations.

On another note any good ideas for moving? We are thinking to load a few pallets and have someone take them over the border and then just ship them as freight to our new house.  U haul seems to be at least 4000-5000 plus moving the car another 2000 including importing it.   Should we just throw everything out or sell it and just buy new?

That's crazy, for Uhaul? I'm selling alot of my stuff, and leaving boxes of personal things with my mum. I'll travel back about 6 months or so to pick up my stuff with my husband, as long as the borders are opened up and there are no more Covid restrictions ;) I wish you luck on that
