Sorry, trying to understand how this is true when the stats are as follows, as posted previously on this thread.

April Stats (CR-1/IR-1) are out.

Nov - 76

Dec - 162

Jan - 245

Feb - 258

Mar  - 316

April - 304

Hi to clarify this, does this mean cr1-ir1 applications sent in for i130 approval or something else?

I found this data on this thread posted by others. It is apparently the number of  IR1/CR1 visas per month by Montreal. Source is below. Apparently they release the stats every month. You can find the discussion about it towards the beginning of this thread.

There is no shortage of vaccines in Canada either at this point. That governor is too late in the game to use that as a leverage.

Not as per the latest news:

God, I'ma be so frigging annoyed if our cases are delayed to August/September. I mean honestly, I wish they would give us some idea, because if it's gonna be a few more months I'd rather fly down to the US for awhile and at least see some of my friends that I haven't seen in two years now. But it's awkward because it's possible to be called back for an interview with just two weeks notice and that meaning it's impossible to quarantine and fly out to Montreal in time...not to mention the medical. x.x

I feel quite sick about it, had Montreal kept up the numbers, I would've been interviewed in May, but noooooo...just as our numbers were about to be called up they had to play games.

I can't see them not scheduling any IR1/CR1 until August. K1's with NOA2 for Sept and November are saying that they have interviews for July which would put them WAY ahead of IR1/CR1 and put us further behind. IR1/CR1 have a higher number of applicants it is completely ridiculous that they stopped sending out interview letters to us in the 1st place, but to add another 2 months of delays? I just don't see that

I don't know you, but am positive about letters coming this week, maybe even tomorrow ! I'll be worrying increasingly until Friday afternoon, but I want to start optimistic ! May this week be THE week for all of us DQ Sep. Good luck to all ! 🤗

Same here. It would be asinine of them to skip yet another month.

Hi @Shumai84, that looks like good news to me! Based on the spreadsheet you were DQ'd Sept. 30 2020, is that right? It will be interesting to hear when you get your IL. Rooting for you! :)

Yes, that is good news. If NVC has issued letters for all K1 cases ready up to November 2020, then as per their statement in the video they should focus on interviewing DQ cases in immediate family category (which included IR1/CR1) uptil November 2020 soon too, since the aim is to keep the backlog proportionate in all categories in Tier 2.

Hopefully September and October DQs will get their interviews in July and November (and dare I say December) DQs will get their interviews in August.

Good luck to all!

Thanks. Like many said, we have been having to readjust our expectations for so many times, and I'm done with feeling hopeful and getting crushed every month. I want the ILs to be out this week obviously, but I kind of have a sense of resignation already to be prepared for a scenario where we don't receive it till next month. There is absolutely nothing we can do, and we are all at the mercy of whatever the consulate decides.

K1 shouldn't be our competition, but the way consulate is handling is certainly making me feel that way.

Hiii! If you don't mind me asking what part of Canada are you in? I went to the RCMP in Vancouver today to get a new record and they said It'll take about 4 weeks :( I really hope they didn't give me an accurate time frame and it will be 15 days like yours. I'm not proud of myself for leaving this to the last minute.

Hi State and Maine and chanel167,

Have either of you had any good news on the police certificate front? My wife got hers done at Commissionaires as well back at the end of April, and she still has not received the certificate in the mail. She did contact the RCMP and they said that it was mailed out mid-May, but she has yet to receive anything. Are you both in the same boat with it being a possible mail delay backlog rather than with the RCMP themselves?

My opinion doesn't matter, but actually I do think spousal should be prioritized over fiance category. Getting married is the single biggest legal commitment that one can make in our lives and comes with serious legal obligations for one other, and visas for those who already made that commitment should have greater weight than those who are yet to make that commitment.

I'm not saying their relationships in K1 matter less, but given that it's not unusual to see couples end up dissolving engagements and therefore they have less proven ties to the US citizen the consulates are serving, it makes more sense to me if spousals are prioritized over fiances visas.

I understand your sentiment and this has been discussed many times before, but also keep in mind that the 90 day rule puts a TON of strain on people and their relationships.  Those individuals cannot work when they enter the US, have to get married in 90 days and file further paperwork to remove conditions, making them 100% dependent on their spousal sponsor.  That's a pretty big legal and financial commitment and not for the faint of heart.  Divorce rates are just as high, if not higher than failed engagements.  At the end of the day, there is no right or wrong.  Everyone wants to be reunited with their loved ones and get on with life.  Everyone also wants it...yesterday.

Thank you! I did look at the visa journey thread as well, I just wasn’t sure what to think because that is for ROC and I just made my first POE on Thursday. I was hoping maybe somebody had here had the same I-551 Null message on their USCIS status so I would at least know it’s not out of the ordinary to have after your first POE.

No worries.  I hadn't seen the notice either, so it was new to me, too.  But as us "oldies" have seen, things have definitely changed over time.  The AP thing was new once upon a time.  The medicals being sent exclusively digitally to the Consulate new...always something new but never anything fastER!

I'm firmly a believer that we will get IL's this week, but here's a glimmer of hope - might be able to visit with no quarantine if fully vaxxed while we wait!
