You mean next IL to come will be for DQ date sep 6-8. Not that the IL will come in September. Don't give people heart palpations!

I was thinking that too, we might get a big batch of interviews! Fingers crossed!!

Seriously!!! I am so ready!!!!!!!!!!!

On that note any recent experience with rpoof of domicile?  DL, voters registration, health insurance, school registration, bank and cc statements.   Is this enough or do I also need lease or utility bills?

Hey ! I got into the same situation. My employer went through a temp agency in Canada to hire me until I can trigger my US contract. Using Modis based in Vancouver, they are used to this.

You don't have to sign any renewal with a fixed lease term in Ontario. Under Ontario's Residential Tenancy Act, a lease will automatically become month-to-month if there is no renewal signed. You will still need to give a 60 days notice to vacate the unit, but there is absolutely no legal obligation for you to sign renewal.

I was just going to say that. I am a landlord, and after the year is up, it automatically went month to month unless other provinces play by different regulations.

@irisheyes123 This is true. There are a few exceptions where your lease would not carry on to month-to-month:

1. If you rent only a room in an apartment or house where the landlord also resides. You don't enjoy tenant rights in that situation and the landlord can ask you to leave at any point provided they give you notice (if required by the lease agreement).

2. You live in a basement unit.

3. You live in a newer unit that was first occupied after November 15 2018.

4. You have already given your 60 notice by submitting N9 form or agreed to terminate lease earlier than 60 days by submitting N11 form . The landlord has no obligation to renew your lease in both these cases.

Personally, I think you will get the interview by July... I refuse to believe Montreal can be that irresponsible and increase the backlog so much... They can't catch up if they don't issue letter soon, and it goes against the orders they received from the Department of State.
